JOB DESCRIPTION
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- The manipulation of 2D and 3D cultures and cell co-cultures.
- Drug testing.
- Gene expression inhibition.
- Protein analysis by western blot, as well mRNA expression.
- Performance of high-throughput bioinformatic data analyses.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
- Master's degree in Bioinformatics, with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology or similar.
- High level of English (minimum B2 level).
- Previous experience in laboratory of cancer molecular biology.
- Advanced knowledge of bioinformatics.
- Proven experience in:
- In vitro cell culture techniques and drug testing.
- Protein extraction and Western blot.
- qPCR and gene expression analyses.
- Cytometry techniques.
- Personal skills:
- A strong passion for cancer research.
- Be highly motivated and adaptable.
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Experience in data analysis from Nanostring technology and correlation with clinical data in head and neck tumors environment.

- 21.000 € as anual gross salary

About us
The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.
The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus. IGTP is a CERCA centre and is also accredited as a centre of excellence by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) and is in charge of coordinating the management and scientific strategy of the campus, working in close collaboration with the other centres.
