JOB DESCRIPTION
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing and handling human biological samples from pediatric liver cancer patients and control tissues.
- Support sample processing, cataloguing, and maintenance of the group's biological collection.
- Manage and update laboratory databases and experimental records using Excel and R.
- Collaborate in general laboratory maintenance, inventory checks, and reagent ordering.
- Performing bioinformatic and statistical analyses of high-throughput proteomic datasets for biomarker discovery and validation.
- Integrating molecular and clinical data to support translational research and precision medicine approaches.
- Participating in data interpretation, preparation of scientific reports, presentations, abstracts and manuscripts.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology.
- Fluent in Spanish and/or Catalan. Intermediate level of English (B2 or equivalent) is highly valuable
- Hands-on experience in basic molecular biology techniques (such as PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, Western Blot)
- More than half a year of previous experience in research laboratories. Mínimo de de experiencia previa en laboratorios de investigación o entornos clínicos
- Previous experience in proteomic analyses, statistical assessment of the association between molecular markers and survival, data analysis, and handling of biological samples will be positively evaluated. Knowledge of pediatric liver cancer will also be considered an asset.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Training contract.
- Full time.
- Date of incorporation: immediate.
- Gross annual remuneration inherent to the square objected to this call, will be fixed based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments.

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.
The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus. IGTP is a CERCA centre and is also accredited as a centre of excellence by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) and is in charge of coordinating the management and scientific strategy of the campus, working in close collaboration with the other centres.
