JOB DESCRIPTION
The IGTP is looking for a bioinformatician. This position will consist on the implementation and application of robust data analysis pipelines for single cell sequencing and high dimensional cytometry data.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The selected candidate will hold the responsibilities to implement the following services:
  • Single-Cell RNAseq analysis and/or Single-nucleus RNAseq analysis (BD Rhapsody based).
  • Other analysis (ATAC-Seq, T and/or B-cell clonality).
  • Clustering, cell type identification pathway and functional enrichment analysis of RNA-derived data.
  • Integration of multi-omics data using deep learning models.
  • Development of pipelines for assessing cytometric data quality and cleaning.
  • Development of pipelines for unsupervised clustering comparative methods.
  • Development of pipelines for dimensionality reduction visualization of data.
  • Development of pipelines of custom visualization, interactive dashboards and reports upon specific request.
  • Biological interpretation and validation of the analysis and results.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
  • Bachelor's degree in biological science and Master's degree on bioinformatic.
  • At least 1 year of demonstrable experience in a similar position.
  • It is required for the candidate to be very collaborative, self-sufficient in the active research of tools for data analysis, very organized and responsible.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Experience in networking will be positively considered.
  • Involvement in bioinformatic societies will be positively considered.
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Indefinite contract (Science Law 14/2011).
  • Part-time contract (20 hours/week).
  • Gross annual remuneration inherent to the square objected to this call, will be fixed based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments.

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.

The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus.
