JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a part-time early researcher to support the research project iPARPResist on ovary cancer research, in the B•ARGO (Badalona•Applied Research in Oncology) group at the IGTP in collaboration with the Medical Oncology Service of the ICO Badalona.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Joining an ongoing project involving the manipulation of 2D cultures and cell co-cultures, drug testing, protein analysis by western blot, as well mRNA expression. 
Participating in RNAseq data analyses.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology or similar
  • Not hold a master's degree (to be completed in the group
  • High level of English (minimum B2 level)
  • Previous experience in laboratory of cancer molecular biology
  • Advanced knowledge of bioinformatics
  • Proven experience in: 
  1. In vitro cell culture techniques and drug testing
  2. Protein extraction and Western blot
Highly valued:
  • Proven intention to pursue a master's degree in bioinformatics during this period
The ideal candidate will:
  • Have a strong passion for cancer research

  • Have excellent communication skills
WHAT WE OFFER
  •  Indefinite contract (14/2011) Science Law 
  • 1,628 hours annually
  • Date of incorporation: 1st of September 2025
  • Gross annual remuneration inherent to the square objected to this call, will be fixed based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments.
  • Flexible payment (childminding + restaurant vouchers).
  • 23 days holiday and 5 days for personal matters + 2 for Easter + 2 for Christmas

About us

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.

The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus.
