JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a part-time early researcher to support the research project iPARPResist on ovary cancer research, in the B•ARGO (Badalona•Applied Research in Oncology) group at the IGTP in collaboration with the Medical Oncology Service of the ICO Badalona.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Joining an ongoing project involving the manipulation of 2D cultures and cell co-cultures, drug testing, protein analysis by western blot, as well mRNA expression.
Participating in RNAseq data analyses.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology or similar
- Not hold a master's degree (to be completed in the group
- High level of English (minimum B2 level)
- Previous experience in laboratory of cancer molecular biology
- Advanced knowledge of bioinformatics
- Proven experience in:
- In vitro cell culture techniques and drug testing
- Protein extraction and Western blot
Highly valued:
- Proven intention to pursue a master's degree in bioinformatics during this period
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a strong passion for cancer research
- Be highly motivated and adaptable
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Have excellent communication skills
