JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a predoctoral researcher to join the Diabetes Immunology Group and carry out research into type 1 diabetes over a period of four months. This position involves completing the final experimental phase of a competitive research project.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The tasks to be carried out include:
  • Transfection of microRNAs (miRNAs) into immune cells
  • Immune cell phenotyping
  • Measurement of plasma cytokines
  • Data collection and analysis
The candidate will contribute to experimental work related to immunological studies in the context of type 1 diabetes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
  • Holding a degree in Biotechnology or a related field, and a Master's degree in BiomedicineLanguages.
  • Willingness to work in the field of diabetes immunology
  • Skills such as organizational ability, punctuality, scientific motivation, and scientific integrity will be valued
  • Proven experience in immunochemical techniques, lymphocyte cultures, and the functional effects of miRNAs. An excellent level of English must be demonstrated
  • Specific requirements established by the call or grant, which may not be considered, in any case, as a discriminatory element. No
  • Previous experience in Immunology and international experience (Master’s and/or research stays) will be valued

  • Date of incorporation: Sept 1st 2025
  • Gross annual remuneration inherent to the square objected to this call, will be fixed based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments.
  • Flexible payment (childminding v+ restaurant vouchers) 
  • 23 days holiday and 5 days for personal matters + 2 days for Easter + 2 days for Christmas.

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.

The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus.
