We are looking for an early stage researcher, in the group of Immunoallergy, Immunology of Diabetes and in the Immunopathology group, to participate in the next projects: 
  • RD24/0007/0002 "RED DE ENFERMEDADES INFLAMATORIAS (REI)" funded by el Instituto de Salud Carlos III and cofunded by European Union (FEDER) "Una manera de hacer Europa" led by Dr.Ramo.  
  • This contract is funded by the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII), PI22/00045, within the framework of the Strategic Action in Health, and co-funded by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) – “A way to build Europe”.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide technical support to the two Immunology research groups, ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory activities and experimental procedures.
  • Oversee and coordinate experimental models of type 1 diabetes, including their development, maintenance, and quality control, in compliance with ethical and scientific standards.
  • Perform organ extraction and processing, including tissue dissection, sample preservation, and preparation for downstream analyses such as flow cytometry, histology, and molecular assays.
  • Participate in the immunological analysis of human samples from patients with eosinophilic asthma, including tasks such as sample processing, immunophenotyping and other cellular and molecular assays aimed at characterizing immune responses and inflammatory profiles.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
  • Undergraduate student with knowledge in immunology.
  • Research Planning and Organization skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
Additional skills will be also considered such as: 
  • Motivation for learning and continuous improvement of skills and scientific growth.
  • Interest in project management.
  • Good knowledge on the field of immunoallegy and autoimmunity.
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Indefinite contract (Ley de la ciencia 14/2011)
  • The annual gross remuneration inherent to the position that is the subject of this call will be set based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments.

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.

The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus. IGTP is a CERCA centre and is also accredited as a centre of excellence by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) and is in charge of coordinating the management and scientific strategy of the campus, working in close collaboration with the other centres.
