JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a EARLY STAGE RESEARCHER to give support into the Innovation in Respiratory Infections and Tuberculosis research group.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Participation in laboratory tasks, especially bacterial and cell culture and molecular microbiology. Have an active role in the different projects of the research line
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
STUDIES
  • Degree in a Health-related discipline
  • Master's degree in Medical Microbiology
EXPERIENCE
  • Previous participation in national and/or international research consortiums
  • Proven experience with issues related to microbiology (bacteria and viruses), preferably in molecular microbiology
  • Experience in virus and bacterial culture, MIC determination, CRISPR-Cas, Western Blot, cell culture, flow cytometry and fluorescent microscopy
  • Experience with data repository management (i.e. REDCap)
  • Experience in the following specific software: R programming, BLAST and Benchling
COMPETENCES
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Interest in working in animal models
  • Good knowledge of English and French
  • Availability to travel
  • Flexible attitude to work and with minimum supervision

  • The period is starting 1rst. September 2025
  • The annual remuneration inherent in the position that is the subject of this call will be set based on the experience provided and the aptitudes of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments.

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.

The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus.
