IGTP is looking for an innovation project manager to join the Research Group on Innovation, Health Economics and Digital Transformation. The selected candidate will work in the MoniK project, a project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities (Proyecto CPP2022 -009868 financiado por MICIU/AEI /10.13039/501100011033 y por FEDER, UE). 
 
The MoniK project aims to develop an innovative biometric monitoring sensor capable of non-invasively measuring potassium levels in sweat. This cutting-edge technology is designed for continuous monitoring of patients with renal disease, enabling early detection of potassium imbalances—a critical factor in managing these conditions. By providing real-time data, MoniK seeks to support clinical decision-making, improve patient outcomes, and optimize the allocation of healthcare resources through more informed and proactive care strategies. 
 
The selected candidate will work alongside the rest of the innovation team in the hospital to meet the deliverables associated with IGTP’s participation in the project. In particular, the candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the implementation of the clinical package at the hospital, ensuring the successful execution of the proof-of-concept studies aligned with the project’s objectives.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The selected candidate will be responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of IGTP’s contribution to the MoniK project, with a focus on managing the clinical proof-of-concept phase at the hospital. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of the clinical activities associated with the MoniK project at the hospital, ensuring compliance with timelines, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the main liaison between IGTP, the hospital’s innovation unit, and project partners to ensure smooth collaboration and alignment on deliverables.
  • Prepare and submit project deliverables related to the clinical implementation package, including progress reports and documentation for funding bodies.
  • Support the setup and oversight of pilot studies, including protocol development, coordination with clinical teams, patient recruitment processes, and data collection procedures.
  • Identify key stakeholders and facilitate their engagement, including clinicians, technical staff, and patients where appropriate.
  • Monitor project milestones and budget related to IGTP’s role, flagging risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to dissemination activities, including presentations, reports, and scientific communications highlighting the hospital’s role in MoniK.
  • Ensure internal communication across departments involved in the project and promote knowledge exchange to foster a culture of innovation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
The candidate must have the following qualifications: 
  • Formally trained in a healthcare or life-sciences-related discipline (biology, biomedicine, biotechnology, nursing, medicine, physiotherapy, pharmacy, etc.) 
  • Trained to Master level 
The following requirements are mandatory:
  • Experience managing innovation projects 
  • Medical market research and assessment of new pharmaceutical and biotechnological products 
  • Understanding of regulatory roadmaps the Catalan healthcare system 
  • Knowledge of healthcare innovation future trends 
  • Strong English written and oral skills

  • Gross annual remuneration inherent to the square objected to this call, will be fixed based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.

The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus.
