JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Project Manager to coordinate a collaborative project “GEUS” aimed to bring advances in Genomics and Epigenomics to research and medical applications. The project is a partnership between academic institutions and the biotech industry.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordination of project’s work packages progress 
  • Ensuring that reports, deliverables, and milestones are completed in a timely fashion and compliance with funding agencies and ethic regulations.
  • Promotion of communication and collaboration among the partners as well as with relevant initiatives, consortia, and other European projects. 
  • Organizing project events, meetings, etc. 
  • Managing the content of the project websites and dissemination of project results to the scientific community and the general public. • Promote the preparation of new competitive proposals.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
  • Bachelor's Degree in life sciences or related fields
  • A PhD degree in life sciences or related fields will be valued. 
  • Research experience in an international environment. 
  • Excellent organization, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively, in fluent English. 
  • Previous experience in project management (preferably). 
  • Previous involvement in European or other international grants and/or in organizing scientific meetings, training events, and/or workshops (preferably).
  • Computational skills (Office, content management systems, etc.).

About us

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.

The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus. IGTP is a CERCA centre and is also accredited as a centre of excellence by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) and is in charge of coordinating the management and scientific strategy of the campus, working in close collaboration with the other centres.
